Kames Capital has appointed manager John Dear to work on its Active Value Property fund alongside Helen Batten.
Mr Dear, who takes on the role of co-manager on the portfolio, has worked in the property investment team at Kames since February 2011.
The fund targets properties valued between £2m and £10m, and aims to deliver returns of 0.5 per cent above the IPD/Association of Real Estate Funds All Balanced Property Funds index each year, on a rolling three-year basis.
He will report to investment director David Wise.
