Architas CIO Rock to join Cazenove

Architas figurehead Caspar Rock is to join Cazenove Capital Management later this year, stepping away from fund of funds management after more than a decade at Axa Group.

Mr Rock will join Cazenove, a wealth management subsidiary of Schroders, in the third quarter of this year, reporting to chief executive Andrew Ross.

His arrival will see current Cazenove CIO Richard Jeffrey become chief economist at the business.

“This is a great opportunity to join a market leader in wealth management with a brand name that is one of the strongest in the industry,” Mr Rock said.

Mr Rock has been CIO at Architas since 2011, having previously worked at Axa Framlington. He was head of multi-manager at Framlington between 2006 and 2008, with roles prior to that including head of European equities.

Architas said it would confirm a new CIO “shortly”, with all other responsibilities remaining the same.

Sheldon MacDonald will continue to run the Architas Multi-Asset Blended range, Steve Allen the Architas Multi-Asset Passive range, Nathan Sweeney will remain in charge of the Architas Multi-Asset Active range and Anna O’Donoghue will oversee the Architas Elite Fund of Funds range.
