Just Mortgages becomes Openwork’s largest mortgage AR

Just Mortgages Direct has now moved to Openwork, becoming its largest mortgage-focused appointed representative firm.

Just Mortgages, the financial advisory business of Spicerhaart, the UK’s largest independent estate agency chain, joined Openwork from Legal & General at the end of March.

Its integration followed a nationwide training programme to familiarise Just Mortgage’s 130-plus advisers with Openwork’s market leading mortgage proposition.

Since the end of March, Just Mortgages has submitted in excess of 1,000 cases and is already on a run-rate to deliver in excess of £1bn in mortgage lending annually.

Antony Lark, managing director of Just Mortgages, said: “Transitioning a large number of advisers to a new network in such a short period of time was always going to be a massive challenge, but it has gone exceptionally smoothly.”

Paul Shearman, mortgage proposition director at Openwork, said: “Just Mortgages is a leading firm in the market and we are thrilled its transition to Openwork has been so smooth and successful.

“We have ambitious plans for our mortgage proposition this year and the addition of such a well-run firm with high quality advisers gives us a fantastic platform for future growth.”

Last month John Cupis joined Openwork as its mortgage director.

He joined from being Sesame Bankhall Group’s managing director of mortgages for eight years.

Prior to joining SBG, Mr Cupis worked at Legal & General, fulfilling various senior roles within the business, including mortgage propositions director.
