Investec Asset Management has added Iain Cunningham, formerly of Schroders, to its multi-asset team in an effort to examine its existing proposition.
Mr Cunningham spent nine years at Schroders working within the multi-manager and multi-asset teams, and has co-managed funds including the £20m Schroder Global Multi-Asset Income product.
More generally he played a role in developing the Schroders multi-assset income franchise, as well as leading currency research for the multi-asset team.
Michael Spinks, Investec’s co-head of multi-asset growth, suggested Mr Cunningham would support an examination into the asset manager’s existing offerings.
“In addition to portfolio management, Iain will help to develop Investec’s multi-asset capabilities globally, with a specific focus on our long-standing relative return growth strategies,” he said.
