Sesame expands protection panel with four new providers

Sesame is set to add AIG, Aegon, Scottish Widows and Vitality to its Zenith protection panel for network members.

These four providers will be added in the summer, joining existing members Aviva, Friends Life, Legal & General, LV and Royal London.

The new expanded proposition is being introduced to network members at Sesame’s protection workshops, which begin this week.

Mark Graves, sales director at Sesame Bankhall Group, commented: “Each protection provider has been assessed based on a range of product and service criteria. We believe this panel represents the most innovative and customer-focused providers in the market right now.

“Strengthening our panel comes at a time when we are also delivering more practical business development support, in partnership with nine of the UK’s leading protection providers, in order to help our members develop their skills in this important area,” he added.

Separately, Sesame and PMS have added Chorley Building Society to lender panels and launched a couple of three-year exclusive products.

The first mortgage offers a 3.69 per cent discount from the standard variable rate for three years, up to 60 per cent loan-to-value, while the second is a 3.31 per cent discount from SVR for three years, at up to 80 per cent LTV.

SBG’s head of relationship management Jane Benjamin explained that Chorley does not credit score and offers a compassionate approach to lifetime events such as divorce and bereavement.

It also offers interest only up to 80 per cent LTV for sale of property and £1m lending at that level.
