TwentyFour AM bolsters teams and looks to US

TwentyFour Asset Management has hired a new portfolio manager for its asset-backed securities (ABS) team amid a broader expansion of its teams.

John Lawler, who previously served as head of European ABS distribution at Nomura, will join the firm’s ABS portfolio management team later this summer.

Meanwhile Robert Arnold, of Société Générale, is to join the asset manager as a US high yield specialist on the unconstrained team in August. He will ultimately be based in a new US office to be established by TwentyFour.

The unconstrained team runs several of the firm’s strategies, including its well-known Dynamic Bond fund.

John Magrath, the company’s head of distribution, said: “We want to continue to add to our investment teams. We have always had portfolio managers in different markets and time zones.”
