Stewart Cowley to join Neptune in consultant role

Stewart Cowley, Old Mutual Global Investors’ former head of fixed income, is to join Neptune Investment Management as a consultant in September.

In his role as a fixed income consultant, Mr Cowley will advise the asset manager’s chief executive Robin Geffen, as well as chief investment officer James Dowey, on the fixed income portion of the firm’s £666m Balanced fund.

The appointment will also see Mr Cowley sit on the investment committee for the private wealth business Neptune plans to launch later this year, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Cowley’s 30-year career in the industry has seen him work for the likes of Invesco and Newton Investment Management.

Most recently he worked on the Old Mutual Global Strategic Bond and Managed funds.
