Invesco Perpetual launches enhanced index range

Invesco Perpetual has launched a range of enhanced index funds for UK retail investors with ongoing charges of 0.23 to 0.25 per cent.

The four funds, which focus on global, UK, US and European equities, aim to “deliver an index-like experience” while outperforming their indices, net of fees, over a full market cycle.

The UK and global offerings were previously only available to institutional investors and have a 10-year track record, while the US and European funds are new to the range.

The funds are constructed using a number of factors, such as earnings momentum and relative value, rather than just market capitalisation.

Michael Fraikin, the asset manager’s global head of research, will oversee management of the range.

Invesco Perpetual’s head of UK retail sales Chris Lyes said: “In situations where retail investors have incorporated index investments into their portfolios, we believe these funds offer the opportunity for improved returns whilst delivering an index-like experience.”
