It is has been estimated that a Hip would cost roughly £300, however LMS the controversial product for £99 not including VAT until the end of July.From 1 August the packs become mandatory for all homes with four or more bedrooms coming onto the market. LMS are giving its customers incentives who are worried about the Government abandoning Hips legislation completely.But the Hips provider says it will offer a refund to all those who take advantage of this offer and the packs do not go live by 1 October this year.For those people who wish to sell their property this summer, an LMS HIP bought now means that after 1 August, if the property is still on the market, prospective buyers won’t be able to identify it by its lack of HIP which could affect its saleability. Dominic Toller, director of new business and marketing at LMS, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for agents to offer discounts of £200 on every Home Information Pack they commission. Agents could be targeting potential new customers with this amazing deal to help secure their business."There are nearly 1600 domestic energy assessors accredited and ready to produce energy certificates which also become compulsory on 1 August.Paul Broadhead, deputy director general of the Association of Home Information Pack Providers said: "The latest figures are a clear signal that industry is ready for HIPs to go live next month."
