A team of four students have won the Team Challenge Trophy, an initiative run by the Institute of Financial Planning to encourage the education of financial planners.

In 2006, IFP entered into a partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University to offer the CFP Fast Track Assessment to those students undertaking the Financial Services honours degree course.

As part of this ongoing support IFP, in association with Seven Investment Management, arranged a Team Challenge event earlier this year, which involved the students developing a full financial plan similar to that assessed under the chartered financial planning process.

Last month, the winning team, consisting of Caolan Gardner, Melissa Kirkpatrick, Chris Rosiak and Tony Yip and their mentor (pictured), attended a formal presentation at the London Stock Exchange, where they were presented with the Team Challenge Trophy and a prize of £1500.
