Alliance & Leicester has branded young people as "career chameleons" following survey results which found 16 per cent of 16 to 21-year-olds planned on a single career path for life.
The research also revealed that choosing a traditional profession such as a doctor, teacher or electrician has been replaced by the desire to be famous, as many young people aspire to become a famous singer, at 25 per cent, or even a celebrity or socialite, at 14 per cent. The research also found women to be more fickle than men regarding job changes, with nine in 10 not planning on keeping the same job for life, compared to eight in 10 men.
