Top dog web searches grow

Employers recruiting for top executive positions are increasingly dedicating teams to search the web for information about applicants.

A survey of headhunters by careers website Experteer has revealed 55 per cent believe candidates looking for senior jobs should be wary of material posted online.

More than 85 per cent of recruiters use the internet to research potential candidates and 47 per cent employ a dedicated team to uncover material on candidates for top executive roles.
