NFU Mutual hands over £20k to Cancer UK

UK rural insurer NFU Mutual has handed over a cheque at its annual general meeting for £20,000 to Cancer Research UK.

The company gave its 2700 members of staff the chance to choose the 2008 AGM charity from a shortlist of 10. Staff overwhelmingly selected Cancer Research UK helping to raise £20,000 gathered from individual voting packs.

Ian Geden, NFU Mutual Chief Executive, said: “We are thrilled to be helping such a worthwhile cause, particularly as we know the work it does helps people right across the country.”
