Trio head for BDP Stoy Hayward's fund of fund division

BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management has announced three new senior additions to its funds of funds team.

John Smutniak has moved to the firm from Lyoncross Capital Management, where he was portfolio manager of a number of alternative funds of funds.

Mr Smutniak, an MIT graduate in economics, was previously a journalist with The Economist. His experience also includes two years researching global mining companies for Harvard and four years with consultancy Charles River in Boston.

Dev Jadeja has joined as a hedge fund analyst, from his position as assistant portfolio manager in the multi manager hedge fund team for Old Mutual Asset Manager. He has a degree in engineering as well as being a chartered alternative investment analyst.

Rahul Saito has also been appointed to a hedge fund analyst position. His most recent role was for RMF, where he covered Asian managers co-managing the company’s macro and emerging market funds. Mr Saito previously worked in structured lending at Shinsei Bank in Tokyo and as an investment banking analyst for CSFB.
