Fines for failings

2175 customers left exposed to unsuitable PPI policies

The FSA has imposed fines totalling more than £175,000 on five motor retailers for serious breaches relating to the sale of payment protection insurance.

It exposed a total of 2175 customers to the risk of being sold unsuitable PPI policies. One of the shortcomings included failing to gather enough information about each customer.
