Last week, New York became the home of the world's most expensive fast food fix when the Wall Street Burger Shoppe raised the price of its gourmet hamburger to $175. Co-owner Heather Tierney said the morsel was aimed at extravagant traders looking to celebrate a successful day. Diary got to considering the City equivalent, but concluded few people in the streets of London could be found splashing out £100 on bangers and mash. That'll still buy you at least five lagers round our way.
