Close seals deal with Fountains

Close Investments has sealed an investment partnership with international land asset management firm Fountains Forestry in a bid to boost its green credentials.

Steven Oliver of Close Investment Property said forestry represented an “exciting long-term investment proposition in the UK” and was an excellent diversification tool for investors seeking to sidestep inheritance tax. Close has already invested £6m in nearly 5000 acres of forestry in the UK since July 2008.

Fountains Forestry has more than 50 years’ experience of forestry investment, managing nearly 900,000 acres of woodland in the UK and US.
