AIMA selects new council at AGM

The Alternative Investment Management Association has selected a new council at its annual general meeting.

Three non-executive directors have been announced. Doug Shaw, managing director at Proprietary Alpha Strategies, will have responsibility for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Sean Simon, co-president at Ivy Asset Management Corp, will be responsible for the Americas. And Peter Douglas, principal at GFIA, will oversee the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, one-year terms have been given to Paul Sater, partner at UK financial services at Ernst & Young, and Christopher Fawcett, chief executive at Fauchier Partners.
