The funds will be offered on the same terms as Brandeaux’s flagship Student Accommodation fund, investing in the existing portfolio.

The company said it made the decision to launch the funds due to strong demand from institutions and wealth managers in the Far East, the Middle East, South America and Europe for the new share classes.

Separately, the company announced that the re-opening of its Student Accommodation fund had been "very successful", with subscriptions of more than £15m having been received in the first seven weeks since the introduction of a new share class with longer redemption terms.

Kay Brandeaux, chairman, said: "We have had a huge amount of support and co-operation from life companies, product providers and dealing platforms in the complex task of re-opening the student fund. As a result, we are now firmly back on track."

The company said existing investors had already accepted the new terms and would convert into the new share class on 5 June.

Over the past one, three and five years, the Student Accommodation fund returned 10.8 per cent, 34.5 per cent and 58 per cent, respectively, according to Lipper.

Over all three periods, it was ranked first out of 54 UK property funds.
