Don't trust his self-righteous suicide

US authorities are hot on the heels of a former hedge fund manager, convicted of fraud, who recently faked a suicide on a bridge above New York's Hudson River.

The US Marshals Service confirmed that Samuel Israel III, who is believed to have engineered the industry's biggest, most brazen and long-running fraud to date, did not leap to his death. The former manager is also said to have etched "suicide is painless" in dust on the car’s bonnet. Considering suicide is the most sincere form of self criticism, Mr Israel’s failure to do himself in suggests he still believes he has a reputation to claw back.
