TUC calls for voting disclosure rules

The Trades Union Congress has renewed its call for the government to make it compulsory for UK fund managers to disclose how they cast votes in company meetings.

The call came as the TUC revealed the findings of a report suggesting some managers still refused to reveal their voting records, despite pressure from government, consumer groups and trade bodies. The IMA reacted by saying the TUC was “continuing to fuel myths” adding the investment industry had made “great strides in this area over the last few years”.
