Franklin Templeton launches Middle Eastern and North Africa fund

Franklin Templeton Investments has launched its Middle Eastern and North Africa fund into the European marketplace.

The Luxembourg-domiciled Sicavs went live on 16 June. As previously reported, the lead manager on the fund is Stephen Dover, managing director and international chief investment officer at Franklin Templeton. However, day-to-day management of the fund is outsourced to Dubai-based Algebra Capital. The specialist emerging markets fund manager is 25 per cent owned by Franklin Templeton.
