Katie Tucker leaves John Charcol following restructuring

John Charcol, one of the largest UK mortgage advisers has confirmed Katie Tucker, one of the intermediary's main spokespeople, has left the company.

Tucker has left the company as part of a restructuring that has also resulted in the firm closing its Birmingham office.

Drew Wotherspoon, head of communications for John Charcol, denied the firm was to reduce its staff by a quarter, but said redundancies were on the cards and Tucker had left the firm yesterday.

He said: "Katie has gone. Because of Katie's pre-eminent position and she is in touch with media we have concluded her position fairly quickly. She is the only one in that position but yes she has left."
