Mortgage adviser jailed for three years

A Weston-super-Mare based mortgage intermediary who obtained money transfers by deception has been sent to jail for three years.

Peter Richard Hilder, 62, who traded as Savings Assured Mortgages in West Hewis, appeared at the Bristol Crown Court today (26 August) after pleading guilty to four offences at North Somerset Magistrates Court on 21 July.

The offences relate to Hilder falsely claiming to a mortgage lender that an individual was employed by him for the purpose of obtaining a £589,090 home loan.
