Simon replaces John Spellman as chief executive officer following a successful 12 months as chief operating officer.

Spellman will become a non executive director with a view to becoming chairman at the end of the year when John Little steps down after three years in the role.

In his first move as chief executive, Simon has strengthened the commercial focus of the business with the appointment of Ian Teague as commercial director.

Teague was previously operations director at The Exchange and in his new role he will be responsible for managing the relationships Assureweb has with product providers.
