The secured loan industry's self-regulatory bodys' website is split into easily navigable sections including information about Fisa, regulation, training and an approved panel of surveyors.

The main new additions include a news section to highlight new regulatory or other developments to new Fisa initiatives, a frequently asked questions page and a helpdesk page with contact details of Fisa compliance staff.

There is also a range of downloadable documents such as the Office of Fair Trading's non-status guidelines, Fisa's borrower information guide and printable mortgage and external mortgage valuation forms.

John Parker, chief executive of Fisa, said: "With the complete revamp of the Fisa website, we are widening the lines of communication between the organisation and its membership.

"Members who have queries or require information can use the FAQ section as their first port of call while also having the added benefit of Fisa members of staff on hand to answer questions not covered by the FAQs.

"We have aimed for a much cleaner, fresher web presence that is easy to navigate and provides invaluable information for all our users, customers, members and potential members. Fisa's new website will grow and develop with our members' changing needs and those of the secured loan industry.

"We look forward to receiving feedback on the new site and believe our members now have a business tool able to provide not only information and detail on a range of issues but also the convenience of online services."

Patrick Bamford, director of secured loan network Unifi Partners, said: "Anything to help in this environment to give us guidance on what we need to do has got to be extremely useful. If you can go on here and double check things then that is to be welcomed."
