The lender said it was a priority to continue with its focus on value led strategies and to enhance its service to intermediaries.
Viviane Clement, head of intermediary sales for Alliance & Leicester, said she was currently reviewing the lender's technology and would be looking to make back end changes to the online system.
She said: "These are changes the adviser might not necessarily see but it will make it a lot more slick."
The newly appointed head of intermediaries said while the lender had been the first to launch an online system, it was time to make some upgrades.
She said: "Technology is always changing, we have to move with it."
Ms Clement said Alliance & Leicester had an ongoing programme to improve all aspects of its interaction with intermediaries.
She said: "If we can enhance our service proposition then we can make an adviser's life much easier."
Ms Clement said part of the programme had been the introduction of a single phone number for advisers. She said response from advisers had been positive and members of the intermediary team regularly phoned the number themselves to ensure calls were answered in a timely manner.
