The homepage of this website is refreshingly clear and simple to navigate. There is a short and concise introduction to the consultancy on the frontpage that informs 2 Plan Ltd is independent and offers whole of market advice. It also mentions it is supported by Standard Life. It is a very professional website, using a conservative colour scheme of blue, white and grey and the intelligible layout makes navigating your way around the website fool-proof.

Users can click through to the About Us link which gives a condensed but informative account of the history and background of the company's two founders alongside a photograph of them both. At the bottom of this page there are links to more detailed biographies of the 2 Plan directors that include their previous experience. Throughout the website each page offers a simple, detailed and informative bullet point presentation of the consultancy and its services. The website is extremely user friendly and when searched for on Google, Yahoo and Ask, 2 Plan is at the top of the list making it easy to find. The Contact Us page is substantial and users can fill in a form so that 2 Plan can get back to the client with more specific contact details if required.

It is hard to find a complaint with this website. However there are no client testimonials, which if rectified would be be a big improvement.

Plus points...

Despite the nauseating colour scheme of bold black text on an orange background, the minimalist approach of this website means it is clear for the user to read, understand and navigate. The contact details are laid out clearly in the top left hand corner in a letter head style and are extensive. There is a short history of the business and a snippet of information regarding fee payments. This introduction mentions the advisers are qualified but does not elaborate. The front page is adorned with the IFA Promotion symbol and states that the company is FSA authorised and regulated. On the left hand side is a short list of the services on offer, which when clicked on, opens a page with a bullet point description of each service. There is also a warning on the mortgages page that highlights your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage. When searched for using Google and Yahoo the website appears at the top of the list.

Could do better...

The website is not very impressive and could look a lot more professional. The colour scheme is a bit garish and the information provided could do with being a bit more substantial. There are no client testimonials and there is barely any information on the advisers themselves.
