"Given the degree and pace of change, particularly in the lending market, this simple but innovative step will assist members in seeking solutions to barriers and challenges that perhaps in the past did not exist as well as providing support for day-to-day issues.

"Paradigm is committed to helping grow all our business partners and we believe the forum will become an important method of ongoing communication between our numerous stakeholders."

We say...

Plus points... This is an ideal way for advisers to air any questions, concerns or queries with a large community of other members, lenders and Paradigm themselves. In this way, they get solutions and information they might not find anywhere else, especially not quite as quickly or efficiently.

Could do better... The only way it will work to its full potential is if most Paradigm members take part.

Peter Stokes, director of Dorset-based IFA Davidson Deem Ltd, said: "In general I find forums fantastic and they are a good way of keep your finger on the pulse.

"We are experiencing times where information they give to us or we give to them could be equally important to every other member of Paradigm and the forum is a way of getting that information out there.

"I put a post on yesterday and I have already had a reply from senior management. They have given some very valuable information about certain developments, which is great for me to know and for everyone else within Paradigm to know as well.

"I have also seen that a lender has replied to somebody's query on there, which is great as well. Sometimes I think advisers are not necessarily happy to speak to the competition but this allows a level of anonymity and why not get some help? We all get weird and wonderful cases at times and if you can post on there and get some help, why not?

"What will make the forum a success relies on whether all the other Paradigm members use it. If there are only a few members looking at it then it will not work, but if they all look at it, it will."
