Provider says...

Mortgage Brain, the provider of mortgage sourcing, point-of-sale, compliance and electronic trading solutions, has brought out Mortgage Brain 6.70, a new version of its sourcing system.

The system is being released to all current users and in addition to the many features that exist on the current system, Mortgage Brain 6.70 has been specifically designed to have user friendly navigation and a compliance workflow process as well as enhanced email functionality.

It will cover all of the major market areas, including mainstream, adverse, light adverse, buy-to-let, let to buy and self-cert and it is also integrated with the Mortgage Trading Exchange to offer a fast and efficient, electronic start-to-finish mortgage sales process.

Mark Lofthouse, chief executive of Mortgage Brain, said: "We believe the new features and enhancements included with Mortgage Brain 6.70 make it the most comprehensive and easy to use system available.

"Mortgage Brain 6.70 is the culmination of extensive consultation and feedback from our users. It is the intermediaries who work at the front end of the industry that have a very clear understanding of what they and their customers want and we are confident that the system, packed with a wealth of new features including enhanced filters, whole of market adverse sourcing, retention products, a debt consolidator and extensive data and systems integration, will meet their needs both now and into the future."

Plus points... In a constantly changing landscape, where mortgage deals come and go on a regular basis, it is fundamental advisers have a decent sourcing system. With enhanced filters the system will run even more smoothly than usual. Also, the fact this has been integrated with the Mortgage Trading Exchange makes it all the more appealing as it will source from a wider selection.

Could do better... There are other sourcing systems out there.

Adviser says...

Michael Brill, director of Essex-based IFA Baronworth (Investment Services) Ltd, said: "We find Mortgage Brain very good. It is a system that works very well for us.

"With the new version the more drop down boxes that you have got to do research obviously the better. It can only be a good thing.

"The only downside I find with Mortgage Brain is you go along to the seminars and they give you cards for people to contact but when you phone up to ask a question nobody ever gets back to you, which is a bit annoying."
