BDS Mortgage Group has launched an online e-learning system for its appointed representative members.

The system will enable users to fulfil their regulatory obligations through a series of online courses, up-to-date learning material and competency tests as well as recording continuing professional development hours.

Plus points... This is a great way for advisers to be kept fully up-to-date with regulatory obligations. As this is online learning, it is much more accommodating as advisers can learn in the comfort of their own homes or offices rather than sacrificing precious time travelling to and from courses.

Could do better... FTAdviser.com offers gyms where intermediaries can put their knowledge to the test. The idea of training on their own from home could be off putting for some advisers who enjoy the social and interactive aspects of a training day.
