Godiva Mortgages has announced specialist intermediary partners will offer its equity release products as the company launches into the market.

The panel will initially include leading intermediaries Age Partnership, Equity Advice, Equity Release Solutions, Helen Brown Financial Services, Home & Capital, Key Retirement Solutions and NHFA.

Colin Franklin, managing director of Godiva Mortgages, which is part of Coventry Building Society, said: “We are very pleased to be able to offer borrowers access to lifetime mortgages through such an experienced panel of intermediaries. We have listened hard to advisers when designing our equity release products and we are confident that they will appeal to IFAs and their clients. We have had positive feedback at this early stage, and we look forward to announcing product details at the end of the month.”

Dan Baines, sales and marketing director of Age Partnership Ltd, said: “The entry of a trusted name such as Godiva Mortgages into the market will help to build both intermediaries and their customer’s faith in this product sector resulting in sustained growth. With Godiva’s reputation for product innovation, coupled with their solid service standards, we expect to see this launch providing customers with a very strong equity release proposition.”

Simon Little, managing director of the Bedfordshire-based Home & Capital, said: “The Godiva team has done a great job with their equity release proposition. By taking its time to develop its products, and waiting until the climate was right, Godiva are set to deliver a first class offering in a market that is set for growth.”
