The Mortgage Alliance (TMA) has appointed Julie Johnston and Lee Loizu as their new regional sales managers, starting this week.

Mrs Johnston and Mr Loi will be responsible for brokers in London and the south-west.

The pair will be tasked with coming up with new ideas, helping to develop new sales techniques and working on business development.

The appointment is part of the mortgage provider’s plan to bring brokers together through networking events.

Mrs Johnston comes from Lloyds TSB, where she worked as a branch manager and a mortgage manager.

She has been in the industry for 25 years, working in retail and intermediary markets.

Ms Johnston previously worked at Buildstore as a key relationship manager and led the mortgage club at Mortgage Intelligence for five years.

Mr Loizu has been in the sector since 1995.

He has run his own mortgage brokerage for the past eight years, and previously worked for Norwich Union Mortgage Club.

Mr Loizu also has experience as a business development manager for a lender and has worked in mortgage packaging.

Phil Whitehouse, head of TMA, said: “Having Julie and Lee on board will make a really positive difference to TMA and our members and it is very positive news that we can make these appointments just six months into being a part of the LSL Property Services Group.

“TMA is about more than just providing highly competitive mortgages to our members, it is also about genuinely adding value to their businesses in the areas that they most need it, and that is exactly what our highly experienced new sales managers will be able to do.”
