Insurance provider LV= has become an associate member of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers.
John Perks, managing director for retirement solutions at LV=, said the company will use its associate membership to learn more about advisers’ views.
He said: “We believe that advisers need the support of a strong trade body and we are happy to work with Aifa and engage with its membership.”
Chris Hannant, policy director of Aifa, said: “This is a very positive move and we look forward to forging a strong relationship in the coming months.
“The upcoming year will provide an exciting but challenging period of regulatory change for IFA businesses. LV= has shown a strong commitment to developing business partnerships with IFAs that will help them protect and grow their business through the transitional period.”
