Christopher Jeffreys, head of the new combined Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management business, has announced the appointment of Toni Meadows as chief investment officer.

Mr Meadows joins from Broadstone Pensions & Investments with the remit to develop and grow the group’s research function to ensure that Ashcourt Rowan has a “first class” equity and collectives research and portfolio construction team for its wide ranging client base.

The group said this is a further example of the changes that Jonathan Polin, group chief executive, is making to the Ashcourt Rowan Plc.

It was stated two weeks ago that the group is investing heavily with operating platform and technology structures and will announce in the next few weeks key third party parties that will assist the group in restructuring for growth and acquisition.

Toni Meadows will report to David Esfandi who is developing the customer proposition for Christopher Jeffreys across the asset management businesses.

Mr Jeffreys, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Toni to the business. He is a hugely experienced and knowledgeable CIO with an impressive track record both in managing funds and in direct investments.

“He will play a leading role in the work we are doing to refine our investment processes and propositions across the group including the enhancement of our research support for asset managers and financial planners”
