New Year resolution: Get a will, says Standard Life

The poll, conducted by Standard Life, found that 61 per cent of adults in the UK still have not made a will as part of their financial planning.

According to the survey, one in three people agreed with the statement: “I just haven’t got around to it yet”, when asked whether they had planned for the distribution of a lifetime’s worth of assets or even made a note of their funeral arrangement.

More than 50 per cent of the 55-64 age group have not prepared themselves.
