David North to exit Legal & General

Legal & General Investment Management’s (LGIM) head of asset allocation David North is to leave the company after 12 years.

Mr North, who is also head of global high yield bonds, ran the £1.4bn L&G High Income and £581.2m L&G Global Macro Themes funds before going on extended sick leave in April 2011.

The High Income fund is now run by Martin Reeves, who joined LGIM from Alliance Bernstein in August 2011, and Roger Bartley. The Global Macro Themes fund is now run by Ben Gill.

In a statement, LGIM said Mr North had made an “enormous contribution over many years”.

Mr North said: “It has been a pleasure working with my teams. After a dozen years of success with LGIM I am looking forward to new challenges.”
