Aviva Investors launches RDR share classes

Aviva Investors has completely discounted initial charges across its entire onshore fund range as part of its RDR pricing plan.

The group said there would be no initial charges for advised and direct business on its Oeic range and added it had also created trail-free share classes for advisers who deal directly with the company with annual management charges ranging between 0.75 per cent and 1 per cent.

For fund purchases directed through platforms and from larger institutional investors, Aviva Investors said it had created a range of commission-free share classes with annual management charges of between 0.15 per cent and 1 per cent.

The group has also launched a new trail-free sterling R share class for its four most popular offshore Sicav funds. It added the share class would be added to other Sicavs where there was demand.

Jeremy Leadsom, sales director for UK financial institutions at Aviva Investors, said: “The RDR is bringing about a shift in the priorities of investors and their advisers.

“We have been engaging with UK intermediaries and responding to their changing needs, and one of the steps we have taken is to review and adapt our share class and pricing models to meet the new environment for fee structures.”
