Investors feast on festive activities


Food and leisure came top of investors’ choices during the festive season, according to Halifax Share Dealing Market tracker, which is probably no surprise.

The most obvious thing going on was people eating and going out a lot, so it seems logical that these sectors should do well.

The time of year also meant that energy and mining stocks fell off the top spot as the most popular holding for investors in the run-up to Christmas.
