Alliance Trust bolsters team for intermediary market push

Alliance Trust Savings has appointed three business development managers and a telephone platform account manager to supplement its platform intermediary sales team, as part of a redoubled push into the intermediary market.

The new business development managers include Paul Judd and Steve Brooks who were both previously business consultants for Skandia, and Scott Winters who joins the company from a similar role at Ascentric.

David Duncan joins Alliance Trust as a telephone platform account manager, having previously worked as a financial planning manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

As well as bulking out its sales team, Alliance Trust has also appointed Julie Maguire as head of marketing communications. Ms Maguire joins from Standard Life where she was head of customer and specialist marketing communications.

These new appointments bring the company’s intermediary sales team to eight, up from a single person in January 2012.

Alliance Trust Savings is bucking this trend by making a series of new appointments to strengthen our intermediary sales team.

“2013 is set to be a strong growth year for ATS, especially in the intermediary market, due to the way we have structured our business. With the implementation of RDR and more intermediaries moving towards a multi-platform solution, we expect significant growth from the intermediary market as we offer something truly different to other platforms.”
