Investment specialist Standard Life Wealth has promoted network director David Driver to the role of managing director.
Taking responsibility for the daily activities of the discretionary fund management firm, Mr Driver will report to Richard Charnock, the company’s chief executive officer.
Mr Charnock was appointed managing director for adviser and investments at Standard Life last year.
Mr Driver said: “With [the Retail Distribution Review] now implemented, we believe there will be an increase in the number of advisers choosing to outsource investments, allowing them to spend more time on other areas of their clients’ accounts while also de-risking their business.
Jeremy Hippolite, who previously held senior roles at Standard Life Wealth, was recently appointed executive director at Kleinwort Benson as the company attempts to expand into the IFA market.
