The head of business development for the multi-manager arm of Axa Wealth said the deal to include its active, passive and blended fund-of-funds on Aegon’s platforms would help make the range accessible to more advisers.

The clean share class funds will be available through Sipps, offshore bonds, general investment accounts and Isas.

Mr Bucher said: “The Aegon platform is targeted at two key markets: at retirement and workplace savings. Having proven popular with advisers we believe our core proposition of risk-profiled funds is well suited to these growing markets.”

Adviser view

Kevin Morgan, managing director of Hertfordshire-based Consilium Financial Planning, said: “I have used the Architas range in the past. It has reasonable multi-asset funds and at reasonable prices, so more power to Axa Wealth for increasing the range’s exposure to another platform and improving choice for advisers.”
