A recent spike in business has prompted father-and-daughter team Keith and Michelle Meredith to advertise for an IFA who can take on new clients, as well as bring their own client base to the firm.

Ms Meredith said: “It’s just the two of us at the moment, and we’re doing much of the administration ourselves, but we’re fortunate enough to keep getting new clients. That means we’re getting to the stage where we really need extra help.”

Archway is looking for an adviser who is self-employed, entrepreneurial and willing to help build up the business.

Ms Meredith added: “We ideally want somebody who has fire in their belly for a long-term career as we’d love to expand the firm and, if it gets to a certain stage, acquire new premises.”

Background

Archway is among several firms on a recruitment drive. Tina Weeks, founder of London-based Serenity Financial Planning, has plans to recruit a new adviser and expand the firm through acquisition. Shane Mullins, managing director of Nottinghamshire-based Fiscal Engineers, is in the process of looking for a financial planner and a paraplanner.
