The joint managing director of care fees planning professional body Symponia said that the company’s 2013 annual conference highlighted the need to tackle the financing of long-term care.

More than 130 delegates attended the conference last week, which included the launch of a new awards scheme for long-term care advisers. Ms Davies said: “This year’s conference was particularly uplifting.

“As a business model, the future of care fees and later-life planning can only go from strength to strength. The penny has dropped; advisers are seeing the opportunities available to them.”
