The fund will be domiciled in Ireland but with a sterling share class available to UK investors and will follow the same investment format as Crispin Odey’s funds.
Mr Hanbury currently manages the soft-closed £504.2m CF Odey Absolute Return fund, which is the top-performing fund in the IMA Absolute Return sector since its launch in May 2009, generating a return of 133 per cent according to FE Analytics, and the new fund will utilise the long book from that fund.
