Alan Burnett quits Martin Currie for Lyxor

Martin Currie’s head of UK intermediary Alan Burnett has left the group after nine years to join Lyxor Asset Management in June.

David Townsend, formerly head of UK institutional and global consultant relations at Martin Currie, has been promoted to managing director of the UK sales and client service.

The independent firm, which was founded in 1881, has seen its assets under management fall from £9.9bn at the end of 2008 to £4.5bn as at July last year.

Lyxor manages $99.4bn in assets across exchange traded funds, alternative investments, multi-asset investments and structured investments.
