Brewin Dolphin has promoted Rob Burgeman and Peter Long to be the new heads of its London office.

The previous heads, Stephen Ford and Rupert Tyler, have both moved on to new roles within the company, Mr Ford as head of investment management and Mr Tyler as national director of investment management.

Mr Burgeman joined Brewin in 2007, and worked most recently managing a number of client portfolios and acting as the media spokesperson for the firm on market and portfolio management issues.

Mr Long has been at Brewin since 1995, working solely in the private client and charity division.

The changes in the London office come after Brewin Dolphin recently made a number of redundancies in March across its divisions as several board members stepped down from the firm during that month, including executive chairman and chief executive Jamie Matheson.
