Aviva will be providing life protection products through Lighthouse Group’s advice arm Lighthouse Financial Advice from 3 June.

The deal will give around 220 advisers access to Aviva’s core protection products including life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection.

Malcolm Streatfield, chief executive of Lighthouse Group, said: “We are on target to grow our LFA division adviser numbers from 200 to 500 over the next three years and we want protection to be at the heart of our proposition.”

Louise Colley, protection distribution director for Aviva, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Lighthouse.

“Both businesses have a mutual desire to ensure more families than ever before have protection in place. Malcolm and his team truly value the importance of protection and with the Aviva brand, marketing collateral and adviser support, together we will make a real difference.”
