Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has hired Emiel van den Heiligenberg from BNP Paribas to be head of asset allocation.

The firm said Mr van den Heiligenberg, who had been chief investment officer of the multi-asset solutions group at BNP Paribas, would have overall responsibility for LGIM’s asset allocation strategy.

Mr van den Heiligenberg has replaced David North, the previous head of asset allocation, who left LGIM in January after 12 years with the firm.
