Pru’s O’Dwyer defects to Standard Life

Barry O’Dwyer, deputy chief executive of UK and Europe at Prudential, is to join Standard Life.

Paul Matthews, chief executive of UK and Europe at Standard Life, said the provider has ambitious plans for the growth of a workplace business.

Prudential UK & Europe said it has appointed John Warburton to managing director of retail life and pensions, and will be responsible for retail sales, distribution, corporate pensions, products and marketing. He was previously product director at Prudential UK & Europe

The appointment is effective immediately.
